The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) enables CHAS*,
Merdeka Generation and Pioneer Generation cardholders to receive subsidies for dental care at participating clinics.

The final amount payable by patients will be based on the fees charged by the clinic including GST (if applicable),
after deducting the relevant CHAS subsidies.

Please check with the CHAS clinic on their fees before receiving treatment.

All CHAS clinics will need to issue itemised bills to all CHAS patients. The bills will indicate the following :

Total bill amount before CHAS subsidy (breakdown of individual dental procedures performed including quantity and amount charged)

CHAS subsidies accorded; and 

The remaining amount that patient(s) would pay 

The table reflects the dental services covered under CHAS and their respective subsidies.

CHAS Subsidies
To note :

  • Singapore Citizens who are on ComCare Long Term Assistance (LTA), previously known as Public Assistance (PA), will receive full subsidies for the treatment of conditions covered under CHAS.

  • For dental procedures that involve multiple visits, such as dentures, crowns and root canal treatments, subsidies can only be claimed after the procedure is completed.
  • The procedure must be completed before your CHAS card expires.
